Russia has updated his Air Force at Khmeimim Airbase with Su-25SM3
Russia has updated his fleet of combat aircraft in the grouping of the Air Forces in Syria. Instead of the SU-25SM attack aircraft at the Khmeimim airbase, the Su-25SM3 attack aircraft were deployed.
Replacement of the Su-25SM3 began after terrorists shot down our Su-25SM in the Syrian province of Hama.
The upgraded version features improved avionics and control systems, can strike both day and night, in all weather conditions.
The Su-25 SM3 is equipped with a GLONASS navigation system with the ability to program the end point on the map with an accuracy of ten meters. The cockpit is equipped with a digital display, with the ability to display the ground and air environment. The combat effectiveness of the machine has increased threefold in comparison with previous versions.
An important detail of the modernization of the aircraft is the Vitebsk-25 system, which includes a digital station for jamming the L-370-ZS. "Vitebsk-25" suppresses the guidance of various types of missiles: it detects the azimuth of the probable enemy and the type of radar radiation, and then suppresses the signal in different frequency ranges.
