Hasaka: Turkish Army Sends Military Convoy to Syrian Borders
A new convoy of military forces and equipment was sent by the Turkish army to Northwestern Hasaka as tensions between Ankara and the Kurdish fighters in Northern Syria have heightened.
Field sources reported on Wednesday that the Turkish army has dispatched the convoy to regions near the border corridor in the town of Ra'as al-Ein in Northwestern Hasaka at the Syrian-Turkish borders.
They added that the Kudish militias have gone on alert after the arrival of the convoyas clashes are now more likely between the two sides in the region.
Relevant reports said on Tuesday that the Turkish army had targeted the US-backed Kurdish fighters in the Northeastern province of Hasaka, inflicting a number of casualties on the militias.
The Turkish army's snipers opened fire at the Washington-backed Kurdish militias in al-Mahatah neighborhood in the town of Ra'as al-Ein in Northern Hasaka, killing a Kurdish militant.
In the meantime, other units of the army targeted a Kurdish patrolling unit in Tal Halaf region in Ra'as al-Ein.
