Kurdish delegation visited Moscow to discuss the Syrian constitution and the status of Afrin

MOSCOW: The Kurdish National Council and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed the situation in Afrin and the future of the lands east of the Euphrates, including the inner Syrian dialogue and the issue of the Syrian constitution.

"We discussed the drafting of the Syrian constitution, the steps in this direction, how Russia can support this issue, and how the rights of the Kurds will be guaranteed in the new constitution," said the official of the Kurdish National Council's office, Kamiran Hajoun.

"We discussed the issue of Afrin and the return of people and we fear the demographic change there. We discussed the issue of land east of the Euphrates. In general, we discussed the question of a political solution in Syria, including the Syrian dialogue."
