DAMASCUS: The Syrian Arab Army has confirmed that it has long-range Scud missiles, the Syrian Military Encyclopedia has published pictures of these missiles capable of destroying targets 600 kilometers away on Twitter.

The rocket in the picture may be made in North Korea or locally manufactured and the missile will be launched from the Soviet-made "Albrus" platform carried by the M-543 Morgan.

Scud missiles are not used in Syria now and remain in underground caches, according to the Russian news agency Mordovia.
